Enjoyed our 4 nights stay. Suite was perfect. Offered an English breakfast. Its location was brilliant, close to the garden, an excellent restaurant and a good walk into the centre. Was the best base for trip.

Consider requesting a garden room for added privacy and a tranquil ambiance, especially if events are happening in the main hotel.

the reception staff were excellent - a real credit to you. the bar and restaurant were also good.
the garden room we stayed in was badly in need of refurbishment, especially the bathroom tiling and panels around the bath.

We both liked the Garden Rooms, much better than walking miles along corridors and up stairs/lifts, and the car was right outside. As a touring centre for the area we found it excellent, those places we wished to visit, ie Brecon Beacons, Steam Mountain Railway, The Black Mountains, Cardiff, Symonds Yat, Ross-on-Wye, Hereford Cathedral & the Mappa Mundi, were easily accessible.
Service was generally very good but I have rated it lower because a large party of bowls players was also staying which caused only a very restricted dinner menu to be available. I feel we should have been advised of this when booking.

The stay included a restful night in a comfortable double room, with a smooth check-in process facilitated by friendly staff. The dining experience was heightened by excellent food, including good French pastries. The bathroom setup was a bit tight, and a bit of maintenance is needed throughout the hotel.

The staff allowed us to retain the room until 1pm on our checkout day which was very helpful.
The only criticism I had was that the Garden Room we stayed in was quite noisy I.e when our neighbours were leaving we could hear pretty much everything they were saying (they weren't shouting at all - just that the rooms aren't very sound proofed). The cleaners came to do their room soon after so getting back to sleep wasn't an option!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and well maintained. The breakfast service was excelent with a choice which was freshly cooked and not buffet style.

Plenty of parking space, close to City.
The hairdryer/Razor point was broken, when asked to repair it was done the same day, but they left my key in the door after. The Steak I ordered was good but the pepper sauce was the worst I have ever seen or tasted (like milk and red wine with sliced mushrooms in it) No refund

We had a lovely stay, enjoying the cozy Garden Twin Room and some delicious meals right on-site, especially breakfast! There were nice spots to unwind, like the outdoor seating area and the inviting lounge. The bath was a bit snug for my liking, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. 🌼
